Last modified: April 1, 2023.

Strollhunt Limited is the developer of the Strollhunt: Walk, Play, Learn mobile application, a location-based city exploration game that is played in the real-world. For the game to be played in the real-world, we need to collect and use information about you. We take privacy protection seriously and solely use this information where we have a legal basis to do so.
This Privacy Policy details what information is being collected, how it is being used, your rights and how you can control your Personal Data.
This Privacy Policy only covers the use of any information that can or could be used to identify you ("Personal Data"), and does not cover information which cannot be used to identify you ("Anonymous Data").
This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service which set out the contract between you and Strollhunt Limited.

1. Information we collect

By signing up for our Services (the "Services"), by for example signing up for an account, you freely give us Personal Data. We collect and use that information in order to authenticate you when signing up, logging in and using the Services.
To use our Services, you must have an account with a supported external single sign-on service (Sign In with Apple for iOS users or Sign In with Google for Android users). As a result, the Personal Data we collect also depends on the privacy policy of the external single sign-on service you use, and what your privacy settings with this service allow us to see when you use their services to access our Services.
For iOS users, by using Sign In with Apple to create an account on our Services, we will collect your email address on file with your Apple ID or a private relayed email address if you select the Hide My Email option provided by Apple. For Android users, by using Sign In with Google to create an account on our Services, we will collect your email address on file with your Google Account.
Location awareness is essential to the delivery of our Services to present you with the closest Hunt(s), Clue(s), Playground(s) and to validate your Answer(s) to Clue(s). We therefore need to collect and use your device location information as you use our Services (and, if you allow background location access for our Services, while you are not directly using the Services).
We collect and use your interactions with our Services, such as but not limited to the Hunts you have completed, the Clues you have solved, the Hints you have used, the Points you have earned to offer you a personal experience and to improve the functioning of the Services.
We collect and use information about your mobile device (including your device unique identifier, operating system, model), in order to run the Services and to improve the functioning of the Services.
We also use this information in order to deliver you customer as well as technical support, when needed.
We use your device information and email address in order to send you updates and news either within the app or by email.
We use your internal account ID in order to associate with your account content that you decide to freely generate and distribute through the Services (such as new Hunts, Clues, Hints, Text, Location and Image Answers, Nearby locations).
We use this information to provide features enabling you to interact and play with other users, including inviting your friends, and sharing your game experience with them.
You freely provide us Personal Data such as your name, email address, country or city of residence when you make an in-app purchase, sign up for our communications, complete a questionnaire or communicate with us. We use this Personal Data in order to run those Services.
When you access our servers via the Strollhunt: Walk, Play, Learn mobile application, we may automatically log the standard usage data provided by your device. This data may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, your device operating system and version, your device and advertising identifiers, your activity within the app (for instance, the screens which you view, the features you use, the links you click on, your device and in-app settings and your in-app purchases), time and date, and other details.
Additionally, when you encounter certain errors while using the app, we automatically collect data about the error and the circumstances surrounding its occurrence. This data may include technical details about your device, what you were trying to do when the error happened, and other technical information that may have contributed to the problem. We use this Personal Data to understand who is using our Services and how in order to improve the functioning of those Services.
Our app may also access and collect data via your device's in-built tools, such as:
● Your identity
● Location data
● Camera
● Contacts
● Phone/SMS
● Notifications
What we collect can depend on the individual settings of your device and the permissions you grant when you install and use the app.
We collect business data. Business data refers to data that accumulates over the normal course of operation on our platform. This may include transaction records, stored files, user profiles, analytics data and other metrics, as well as other types of information, created or generated, as users interact with our services.

2. Legal bases for processing

We will process your Personal Data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. We collect and process information about you only where we have legal bases for doing so.
These legal bases depend on the services you use and how you use them, meaning we collect and use your information only where:
● It’s necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request before entering into such a contract (for example, when we provide a service you request from us);
● It satisfies a legitimate interest (which is not overridden by your data protection interests), such as for research and development, to market and promote our services, and to protect our legal rights and interests;
● You give us consent to do so for a specific purpose (for example, you might consent to us sending you our newsletter); or
● We need to process your data to comply with a legal obligation.
Where you consent to our use of information about you for a specific purpose, you have the right to change your mind at any time (but this will not affect any processing that has already taken place).
We don’t keep Personal Data for longer than is necessary. While we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and cannot guarantee absolute data security. If necessary, we may retain your Personal Data for our compliance with a legal obligation or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.
